Good Morning Ginger Shot

We are passionate about a few things at AHARA HEALTH, and supporting overall digestive health is part of that list! We want to ensure that digestive fire is nice and strong so that we can break down our food efficiently and effectively, so we can support our overall microbiome and elimination pathways.

This is one very simple recipe that really brings the heat and gets that digestive fire started!

I N G R E D I E N T S

1 small knob of ginger – around 5-10cm (the more the spicier!)
1 small knob of turmeric
juice from one lemon
1 cup of water
tiny bit of honey is optional but not necessary

E Q U I P M E N T
1 blender
1 ice cube moulds

M E T H O D

  1. In a high-performance blender add in all the ingredients and blend until all the ginger and turmeric is blitzed completely.
  2. Pour the liquid evenly into the icecube moulds and place into the freezer until frozen.
  3. Each morning, add the frozen ginger shot into a mug and add boiling water. Once at desired heat, sip ideally 30 mins before breakfast or each meal. You can also keep it fresh and add a splash of the ginger mixture into a mug and have with warm water.
