Since becoming a Naturopath 13+ years ago (also how nuts it’s been that long) I have found that 99% of the people I work with are not eating enough fiber…so we have packaged our own!

while it may not be the most sexy of topics it is SO essential for our wellbeing.. we require 30-35g of dietary fiber a day, and our blend, with one serve, gives you a whopping 27.1g!

Our body needs fiber for:

WASTE ELIMINATION: not only to move old food through, but also clear hormones, cholesterol, parasites, toxins etc

BLOOD GLUCOSE BALANCE: fiber supports blood glucose balance, meaning when added to a meal it can reduce the spike while also supporting you to feel satisfied from your meal

MICROBIOME SUPPORT: it’s essential that we have a variety of foods, including fibers to feed the good guys and move through the not so happy guys.

SKIN GLOW: to get glowing skin we need to make sure that waste is eliminated effectively via the bowl, if not it will struggle to leave and we can see this in pimples and acne.

PERIOD PAIN / HORMONE SUPPORT: hormones are cleared via the bowel, which is why it’s so essential for women to poop daily. If not hormones can accumulate and contribute to lengthened cycles, period pain even the heaviness of flow. It can also contribute to mood changes with a cycle, hot flushes and irregularities in perimenopause/menopause.

HOW TO USE IT:
the benefit of our blend is that is VERY versatile and easy to take with you to work. you can add it into another meal such as a smoothie or even bake with it! or you can have it as is (our preferred way so you are having the full fiber benefit in one go) is to add 1/4 cup of fiber blend into your bowl, top with boiling water, and stir to allow the fiber to swell. Add in a little extra water if needed, and serve with fresh fruit and or unsweetened greek yoghurt / coconut yoghurt if you like.

Due to the increase in fiber intake, it is ESSENTIAL that you also increase your water intake – dehydration can cause the opposite effect and contribute to constipation.
